Budget (including currency): Not something crazy, but it can go higher

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  Gaming and Productivity

I want to make my Pc build the best it can be, I am thinking of adding another monitor and cleaning up the colors/maybe adding RBG, as I have not color coordinated anything. I want to make this look super clean and very powerful. Any suggestions?

My ram is yellow, so I might want to replace that.

Gonna need more PSU for the 3090. I would go for at least a 850W, but you might want to go with 1000W to be safe.

You can also consider the 12700K which is a better overall performer than the 5900x.

Better PSU. At least 850w or 1000w recommended for a 3090. You can add more ram 4 x 16GB instead of just 2. Get a Strix board if you just got cash to throw around.

Can you suggest some options for those?

12700k vs 5900x? I am using it a bunch for rendering and gaming, so would it be worth it?

Corsair has a good 850w PSU. Rx850 I think. Anything 850w - 1000w Gold. The 3090 has power spikes that can trip the lower end PSUs under load. If you want the very best right now, yes go with the 12th gen intel, but make sure you also get at least 1000w PSU with it. Otherwise 5900x is fine for pretty much everything.

My hot take, but I think Alder Lake missed the boat. It's a good performer, but DDR4 LGA 1700 boards are hard to find, and DDR5 is virtually unobtainable. The 5900X is still no slouch, and Zen 3D is coming very soon if the OP wants to wait. I think either is still the better choice right now. Hopefully, the DDR5 situation should improve within a year, but by then, we'll be on to Zen 4 and 13th gen Intel.

If you are using Adobe then the 12700k is the better bet. If you are using blender then the 5900x slightly beats out the 12700k but not by a whole lot. As for gaming it's a toss up between the two as they have relatively the same performance in most games besides a few that favor Intel or amd.

EVGA SuperNOVA G6

Phanteks Revolt Pro

SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold

Corsair RMx (2021) (pretty big so double check if it fits in case)

I believe they go around the same price, so I would go with 12700K if you're okay with being an early adopter to windows 11. If you're looking for a more stable platform in general or don't like windows 11 go with 5900x. I believe the 5900x is better for rendering though, but not by a huge margin

Out of the PSU’s what ones would you suggest, or it doesn’t really matter

Yea definitely availability wasn't very good at launch, but so was Ryzen 5000 at launch so we'll see how it pans out over time. I think that this was a really good step for Intel though because it adds a new architecture to the desktop space (p and e cores). The entire having p cores for you're main task and e cores for background sounds like a good move for smoother performance in games. Although we've had this in phones for awhile so I don't what took so long.

Mostly blender for that

I would be open to waiting for Zen3D… How much expected performance?

For the Strix board, lets just say im sticking with simple AMD and for the ram, would you suggest a differant brand/type?

If u got alot of a-rgb in your system u could use razer chroma hub which would automatically get all argb into 1 software . It's cost 40 $ but I would say it was money Well spend for me . But if you r going with corsair then a commander pro or commander core x might be the better option

That's subjective. As long as your case has decent, or in this case, above decent air flow, you can decide if you like how it looks. Lights, fan leds, and gpu backplates are pennies on the dollar in the big picture. I'd go with a black case, though, if you're asking.

This is pretty subjective so it will depend on your taste. I would say go with all black, pretty hard for it to look ugly in that way. Alternatively, you can get white ram/mobo to match your current case. You can also look at some white PSU cable extensions to make it look prettier.

Here's a link to one: https://www.amazon.com/Asiahorse-Customization-Sleeve-Extension-Supply/dp/B07C735N9C/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=O4YL18PJ7EY&keywords=white%2Bpsu%2Bcable%2Bextensions&qid=1639079106&sprefix=white%2Bpsu%2Bcable%2Caps%2C201&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExRjBVMlVKSUJWME1WJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzI4MjA2MTFWMDVIMVJZOEI0RSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzcxMzY2MVpCQ084Vk0yR0wzOCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1

Although with the current parts you selected, I think it will look fine.

No one knows for sure, of course, since it's unreleased. However, AMD has claimed 15-25% increased performance in games. If that pans out, it will basically erase the lead Alder Lake has currently. We'll have to see how it shakes out in the end, though.
