RX 570 buzzing

psoney

Hi, when I play a game (varzone for example), I hear a strange buzzing in the area of the cable slots, I use two monitors, and only when I pull out both monitors the buzzing stops, when I put the cables back I hear it again. When I turn off the game, the buzzing stops automatically. I guess it has to do with temperature because the graphics go up to 71C in games, but is it abnormal for me to buzz the cable slot?

I use XFX model.

Sounds like Coil Whine to me. Some Cards have it under load. Really not much you can do about it

Sounds like you're experiencing coil whine. It's completely natural and doesn't affect performance.

In general its just luck. some cards have it, some dont. you cannot say for example asus has it, evga does not. its a lottery. but in general, the cards work fine.

you could try to isolate the case more to silence it a bit.

I started to get coil whine after I bought a 144hz monitor. I hadn't really pushed my GPU until that point I guess. I say swap it to the Asus 570. I find this noise pretty annoying and if I could swap in something else with the same power I would.
