Budget (including currency): $900-$930 before tax.

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I've already bought all of the components excluding the GPU, and for the GPU I personally will most likely wait it out until I can get a 3060 ti or better from Best Buy at MSRP. If any of the components on the list look odd price wise, it is because I factored in rebates and micro center pricing in my list.

Some points to mention

  1. I already have storage drives I plan on using for this build, so I don't need any additional storage.
  2. I own a windows 11 key already, but was somewhat confused about TPM requirements. Will I need to purchase a separate module to install windows 11? Also, on the off chance that I need to get the module, can I use my windows 11 key on windows 10 for the time being?
  3. I heard the P300 has bad airflow so I tried to alleviate it with some case fans. Will this be enough to keep temps down on rocket lake?
  4. I plan on using my CPU Cooler in a push-pull config to hopefully keep temps under control, but i'm worried it still won't be enough. If I run my CPU at stock, will I be able to get acceptable temps with this cooler?
  5. Is my wifi adapter good enough to play games like siege? I don't have access to ethernet at my dorm.
  6. The examples of games I play are MHW, DS3, JRPGs like Nier, FFXV, and Tales of Arise. However, I want enough headroom to be able to play new AAA games, *cough Elden ring *cough, for at least another 3-4 years.

Thanks!

The TPM is built into the CPU. You don't need a separate module, you need to enable a BIOS setting.

You're better off getting the P300a instead of the P300 and a ton of fans. Either that or removing the front panel of the case. The CPU cooler is probably your bigger area of concern.

It'll probably be fine, but you're probably better off getting a better cooler than a Hyper 212 and a second fan. The CPU will probably run a little toastier than you'd like, though within spec.

A 3060Ti will probably be fine for that amount of time. That said, the continual upgrade model will usually be cheaper in the long term with better overall performance if you do it right, so keep that in mind.

All that said, why are you asking about a system you already bought? Any input we give won't really be useful to what parts to switch out since you already own them.

Yea its kinda garb

11600k is useless here with that cooler, why bother with z board when you dont oc?

H212 is mostly overpriced trash nowadays, 25$ its a decent deal though alot of newer low end coolers already outperform it like the se 224 xt

Psu is kinda garb, maybe get a better unit

Case is trash, take off the front panel for airflow

Welp cant really do anything other than the case and undervolting the cpu
