@Dr0idGh0sT the i5-1140F lacks an iGPU and I don't see a discrete GPU in your build list.

It's obvious he'll get GPU, What kind of gaming build will it be without one? Neither your list had GPU, Did you suggest him to play on I5's integrated graphics?

I wouldn't be so sure that he bought one

For the games outlined an iGPU would be fine. It is what I suggested.

well, I would suggest this instead, and as for a GPU, I guess you have a few hundred bucks to spend on one, maybe a 1070ti

No, It won't be. Not even very low demanding moba games will run at normal graphics and FPS on that iGPU...

with an 8700's iGPU you can run Minecraft 1.17 in 4k resolution at 100FPS

And from when minecraft is considered a game that can measure GPU power?

Igpus can still play games, its just that intels igpu is still a massive joke compared to amd, just look at some performance comparisons, uhd 770 seems to be equivalent to a 3000g igpu aka still a pile of trash

maybe next gen or a refresh will bring better igpus from intel, but then amd might start using rdna in their igpus next gen and still make intels igpu look like a joke

the point was not all games require a strong DGPU like a 1060...

also, if you want to make it stress your GPU, download some seus shaders and the highest resolution texture pack you can

OP haven't mentioned he would be playing Minecraft, So it's irrelevant.

Well, I won't use it as much for gaming for now. But if I'm playing, it will be something like Dota Underlords, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends. So yeah, if the build starts to struggle with the games, I would have to go for a dedicated GPU as well. I haven't been gaming a lot lately, but if I pick up some heavier games - I'll add the graphics card.
