I'm confused, a board that new has the flashing utility built-in to the UEFI does it not?

Yeah, checked too, but the @BIOS that is downloadable from the Gigabyte site is Chinese for some reason...

Yes, but i have to select a file to update the bios. But when loading the file and updating the error : invalid BIOS image

And on the website it says when updating to this version i habe to enable legacy booting (which forces me to enable CSM) to update. And all this is to hopefully make the mainboard to detect my M.2 ssd

Is that official because that sounds very dodgy indeed.  If it wont update from UEFI I'd be tempted to believe it IS an invalid BIOS image.

Is there any reason to believe its a motherboard problem and not that your M.2 drive is faulty, especially with the crashing in BIOS.

The SSD is fine and works in my old amd my sisters PC without any problems. 

Nothing dodgy here, thats how you update the bios on a Gigabyte board

Pretty sure I've not had to update the BIOS anywhere outside the BIOS itself in 15 years.
