Ive been having a major issue with my year old pc that just arose randomly about a week ago.

To describe it, my pc restarts itself randomly. not as in windows update but as ill be doing something and it immediately restarts as if I hit the "restart" button on my IO. Kind of like as if the power went out for a split second to the pc. Ill refer to this event as a "hard restart" throughout this post.

Each time it does it is a bit different- one will be straight from me playing something or even just browsing the web, to an immediate Hard Restart. -another, my computer screens will go black, and either I have to actually hit the restart button or theyll come back for 2-5 seconds then the computer will Hard Restart. During this, any audio that was being played loops whatever the last tone was until the screens comeback or until the computer Hard Restarts itself.

Nothing in particular seems to cause these restarts. I could be gaming, to typing this post, to watching youtube. And they happen at random time intervals, for sure within every 2 hours but usually around an hour operating. The fact that My computer will comeback from some of them hints that it doesn't seem to be a powersupply issue. The fact that the other times it just Hard Restarts without the screens going black first tells me it might not be the GPU... When my computer is booting up, no error lights on my motherboard stay on when it cycles through them (Boot, Vga, CPU, Dram). I did a full system Microsoft reset to clear everything out and the problem still persists. Im really at a loss here. Unfortunately I dont have access to any spare major components to try and narrow down the problem which is why im here. Not to mention this is my first pc build so im still pretty green to this kind of stuff.

I appreciate any help from you guys. The only other time I had an issue, this is the only site that actually helped me out. Thank you.

Reset CMOS, and run Memtest. Does this show any errors?
