GPU FULL FAN SPEED after turning on PC

Go to solution Solved by HQuan,

Did you...

  • Lose or forgot to install any screw?
  • Use the right type of thermal paste?
  • Install the GPU in correct PCI-e slot?
  • Check for any damaged component inside?

After cleaning my PC and changing my GPU’s thermal paste. Installed all back together, when i turn on my PC my GPU will run it’s fan speed to full speed , it’s like a rocket going to blast off. After entering my password in the home screen after a couple of seconds the fan speed will go to a full speed and after a while the system crash. My specs:

 • windows 10 x64

 • Z170 Pro gaming

 • intel i7-6700K

 • 16GB ram

 • GTX 970 turbo asus

Can some one help me. Very much appreciated.
