Can anyone help me figure this one out?
I heard it might be a driver leak, but I don't even know where to start on that one.

For context I will put every single bit of information, since I know how crucial that is, maybe a bit too much, but maybe something I have provided by „Windows“ or my hardware is famous for RAM leaks?

Also for context, when i start up my PC the RAM usage is about 6GB and rises somewhat.

„Windows 11 64-bit“ also happens in „Windows 10 64-bit“
Any bit of help is appreciated.

Can you take another screenshot of the Startup tab in Task Manager with everything Enabled organized at the top?

That's.. a lot. Is there anything in that list you don't recognize or absolutely need starting on its own at boot? Limiting what's enabled in that list will also make booting up much faster.

As you see in the users tab of RAM usage, it's over 2x smaller than in the performance tab of RAM usage, meaning it can't be a program. While I am fine with the 4,8GB (with „Firefox“ in this example I don't understand the 11,6GB Usage, since there is no real program that I can see taking up ~6,8GB of RAM.

Well all this did do, was downgrade my Ethernet driver from 9.0.0.49 to 9.0.0.48, after reboot still same 6,6GB which increases to ~8GB on start up with minimal apps open. and the User tab showing just 2GB of usage.

TLDR: the difference doesn't matter, they measure different RAM usage.

there are some Network adapter drivers that are just fucked up, so fucked up that it would lead to 99,9 % RAM usage while just having your pc turned on

As far as I know W11 does use more RAM than W10.

and in your Picture you still have RAM left.

that sounds pretty normal to me. you really should start worrying if your system goes on 15 GB while just doing nothing. with nothing I mean having a few youtube videos open in 1080p

My Question is, do you have any troubles, any problems with your system or is it like I heared something, over half of my RAM is used while opening a browser there might be a problem

Well me seeing other PC's running like 3-4GB of RAM on the desktop, while I am running with almost 8GB, makes me think, that something's off, when the PC is turned on for maybe 6 hours (Browsing, Gaming) and killing every task that is not a system one, the RAM usage is almost 11GB.

I am about 6 gb of Ram usage after starting, your w11 use more.

I will write here more after about an hour.

...

an hour later

about 10 gb,

for me it seems like normal Ram usage. The more Ram you have the more Ram is used. that is the nature of RAM. Just think about how do systems work that only have 8 gb  of RAM they use less. as long as you don't have any system instabilities or something like 95 % Ram usage everything is alright.

I have „Windows 10 and 11“ dual-booted, so it's not „W11“ But looking at videos of other people and even from experience I seen 2,2GB to 3,8GB usage, but not almost ~8GB of usage.

On a fresh install of Windows, immediately after boot up for the first time, if you're seeing what you believe to be "normal" RAM usage, the answer is something you have installed.

you know that is kinda the issue,  right?

You need to show us "what" is open after reboot *without* manually open any apps...

2 screenshots: taskmanager processes sorted by ram usage, and performance tab on ram usage.

I have already seen your startup tab,  "insane" describes it adequately in my opinion,  here's my "startup" tab for example...

You will either have to disable everything there that you don't totally need (which is probably 99%) or buy more ram, or live with it, but such an overloaded startup will inevitably slow any computer down (more ram might help)

I am not sure how your definition of „Insane“ is, when like half of these are driver/„Windows“ related, other's being task's and only like 3-5 matter in terms of RAM and performance.

Meanwhile I have sort of found the problem looking at „RAMMap“. Mainly with the Standby RAM not being cleared, I have made an .bat file, which does bring my under load 10GB RAM usage to 4GB, then rises to 6GB, but at least it does clear, sadly I am not really sure why it doesn't clear it.
