m.2 ssd not even booting to bios

Mr_Pepsi

So i bought a second m.2 ssd, installed it and tried to boot. and it just freezes before i can even enter the bios. i checked too see if it was the slot so i switched my current one that was already working to this second slot and it worked without the new one, but putting the new one in the slot origenally used it by the old one but still freezes. anyone got any ideas of things to try? or is it doa or something?

I left it for like 20 minutes or something but nothing happend

Is one of your slots pice 4.0 and one of them 3.0?

Is one of the m.2 drives pcie 4.0?

Are the m.2 slots set to auto pcie version in bios or are they manually set to 3.0 or 4.0?
