When restarted pc only turns off monitor and lights and fans still on and takes forever.

Why do my pc cant restart. When i restart from the windows it doesnt work as well as manually pressing restart on the case. Also when there is problems in the system and it does automatic repair, usually it will automatically restart but it only turns off the monitor and motherboard lights still on and fans still on.And it stays like that forever. Is this some kind of system problem or some hardware ones.

So, just to recap:

  • A hard (button) reset works just fine.
  • A soft (Windows) reset doesn't.
  • Windows tries to repair itself every now and then.

Definitely sounds like your Windows installation is borked; you should do a fresh reinstall.
