Hi guys I have a pc that will randomly turnm off, and sometimes refuses to turn on.by shutting off instantly. I have already bought a brand new power supply, but that doesn't seem to change anything. I have an unusual mobo that requires a motherboard adapter for the connector, do you guys think that may be the problem? One time a wire came out, and I did not know where it should go. but the pc was still functional. Do you guys know any suggestions?

Full pc specs psu in detail.

Sure,
Xeon e3 1220 v3 (i5-3470 equivalent)

hp elitedesk 800g1 mb w. stock cooler

DIYPC DIY-S08W mid tower

700w evga br psu

256gb ssd

2tb hdd

8gb ddr3 1600

gtx 770 2gb

I use an adapter from a standard 24pin mb connector to a 6x2 pin connector for mb, I think that may be the issue but I'm not sure. I don't think it is the other since the pc works fine mostly, just it will randomly shut off, or take many attempts to turn on. It's not the psu, I just got a new one too. Any ideas?
