bring back Android Auto to Android 12?

does anyone know how to bring back the "on-the-phone" version of android auto to android 12.

since the update to android 12 it diverts me to the driving mode of assistant which i hate. i tried instaling older versions of the app but idk which version i should go back to and also i cant find the app anywhere besides the settings panel.

 

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

sooo... i managed to reinstall an apk of "android auto for phone screen 1.1.xxx"  instead of looking for old versions of android auto itself and finally i have it back

doesnt work. first startup works then the second time it demands updating
