Need help fixing ping/jitter

Title says it all. I'm using a Linksys AE6000 network adapter. I manually installed the freshest drivers from their website. I ran the same test on my laptop and phone and it's normal so I believe its an issue with either the network adapter or my PC.

Are you using wireless or ethernet?

Where are the devices located?

Is there a direct line of sight to the router?

What testing software are you using?

What network adapter are you using?

Wireless

I tested the 3 devices all in the same spot

Router is across the house but since I tested them all in the same spot I don't think thats a factor

I just used meter.net/ping-test I've found it accurate to the league of legends servers in Chicago

You can't make that conclusion just yet. Wireless is a known major contributor to network latency.

 

Try running the ping test while directly plugged into the router over ethernet.

 

Also run a wireless survey to get a channel analysis of both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

That's a tiny little USB adapter, not surprised you would have worse latency with it.

 

If this is a desktop PC I would highly recommend switching to a PCIe card if you can, ideally with an antenna you can position freely rather than stuck to the back of the PC.

I mean I used it for 3 years with no problem. I figured it was outdated and they stopped creating new drivers for it, so I got the Next-gen Max-stream AC600 and I'm still having the same issue.

Problem is there's no ethernet port in my room. I figured it was outdated, so I got the next-gen ac600 and I'm still having the same issue. How would I run a channel analysis?

And you absolutely can't move the computer closer to the router?

I have a router extension in my room, but I couldn't move my whole setup. Did you want me to use the Wifiman mobile app I didn't see on the website how to do the 2.4GHz and 5GHz analysis, but I saw the app had it. Furthermore, would it help you identify the problem if I took the USB adapter and ran tests on my laptop, so we can see if it's an adapter problem or if it's something to do with my PC. Really appreciate the responses. I'm just tryna get my gaming fix in while home for Thankgiving break.
