How do i update BIOS on X470 for AMD 5900X?

Is there a spesific bios? or just the latest from MSI for my MSI X470 GAMING PRO CARBON, Socket-AM4

 

?

Hello, took a quick look at the compatibility sheet for that motherboard. Check this out, scroll down to the bottom and you will see AMD's vermeer 5000 series listed with the 7b78v2h BIOS. Which turns out to be a beta BIOS. Back to the Support > BIOS page of the motherboard product page, you can see 7b78v2h6 as the latest BIOS. I assume it's a newer revision, so go with that. BIOS page best of luck!

Thanks, that was clutch double checking like that. I pressume i can just update bios and my 2600x will run with that bios until i install CPU?

Not really ideal updating to a BIOS that your current CPU is not meant for. Just update the BIOS prior to installing the new chip.
