HDMI issues with new PC

Yup. Currently it's the only monitor connected to the system and as mentioned with the default HDMI cable we have no issues.

Sounds to me like you've already answered your question then. Either the HDMI cables you have are faulty, or for some reason are incompatible with your GPU and monitor. Have you tried testing these HDMI cables with multiple other devices in your home?

I have a couple HDMI cables that do not work with our XG1v4 Cable Box or Playstation 4 properly. These cables will send a signal to tell the TV that "something" is plugged in, but will either output a scrambled signal or black screen. These cables work fine with every other device we have though.

Hello,

Currently on my systems new RTX 3070 I have attempted to use 3 different cables for a long run. The 3 cables were all 24ft, 2 of them brand new. The issue I ran into was the monitor recognizes the HDMI and the correct port that is being used, but no actual signal comes through. I know the card works because when I use the included 3 foot cable it works with no issues.

So my only guesses are:

1. Somehow all 3 of those HDMI cables are bad and I got very unlucky.

or

2. I will need to try HDMI 2.1 cables.

Have people attempted to use HDMI over this distance with RTX cards, and if you have was that using HDMI 2.1?

Only way to really do that is to do really long cable runs, as everything in this house is run through walls or behind a bunch of stuff. I do have one way to test them now that I think about it, so I will test the only other way I can for now.
