Hey folks, looking for a little help here as I am stumped! So I recently threw together a build but now when I shut it down, the cpu, gpu, and case fans all continue to run. The monitor will go blank as normal but after awhile, (maybe ten minutes or so?), it will give an error page stating there was an error and it needs to restart but you cannot restart it. Some research mentioned that it could potentially be a bad psu so I picked up a new one and yet, the problem is still there. Everything had worked pretty great until I put in a new hard drive and different cpu. I have reset to default bios (bios is up to date), fresh install of windows (fully fresh), and as stated earlier tried a brand new psu. Is this a motherboard issue? Is it possible that it is not properly switching to a shut down mode and/or not sending a shut down signal to the psu?

The stats arent the greatest! lol But I'm trying to throw a couple computers together for my 7yr old son and 7yr old daughter.

Asrock 970m-pro (bought new september 2020 because i already had ram and processor)

FX4170

4x2gb 1600mhz gskill ddr3

corsair c650m (just bought to replace the rosewill 1000w as i had thought it was bad)

500gb ssd

thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
