Ending unnecessary processes in task manager?

Even if everything is closed, I will still have 150+ processes running when checking the task manager...I don't think that's normal (is that normal???? please tell me cuz I don't think it is). I want to end unnecessary tasks and free up CPU space. The thing is, I have absolutely no clue what I should end, as a lot of them, as we all know, are necessary to the basic functioning of Windows 10. Any tips?

Don't sweat it. I have over 200 processes running on this PC as we speak. But it's normal to have a decent sized list of processes just by having windows 10 running. Ending processes for the sake of trying to "clean up task manager" will likely result in more harm than good.

Having a lot of processes is totally normal. A good way to "end" the ones that aren't needed is by preventing from starting on startup. In task manager there is a start up tab. Disable ones that aren't needed there.

Also exiting applications is task view, which is the upward arrow in the bottom right of your screen. Right click on apps there to exit them.
