I've been using the same membrane keyboard for the last 14 years. This keyboard has managed to survive 6 full hardware overhauls. I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard that doesn't generate lots of noise but, contains some back-lighting (Doesn't need to be amazing back-lighting just something to see in the dark with). My price range is about 50-100 dollars for a keyboard. I've never know much about keyboards but, I should probably start researching things like this in the future.

It's actually only $7 dollar out of OP's budget :)

I'd also recommend this keyboard and switches.

yeah but I meant there's a chance he might not need to get a used considering it's not a huge jump from his original budget.

Get a Razer BlackWidow, 2013, 2012, 2014. It's up to you.

Personally I own the 2013 version, it's great, feels tactile, not that loud and SUPERB back lightning that I could not live without.

Razer makes great keyboards/mouses, that's as far as I trust them.

Headphones, mic, weird gaming gear, PC's laptops idk.

But Razer is amazing in keyboards and mouses.

Get a Quickfire keyboard from CM Storm in your preferred shape and slap some O-rings in the keys. To maximize the quietness, you should choose either MX Reds, Blacks or Browns for switches and stay away from Blues. A shock absorbing material such as a mouse pad (the long kind) under the keyboard will help a bit, too.

CM Quikfire series, or the Logitech G710+ since it comes with original Cherry MX Brown (unlike Razer's own switch which is actually cheaper Kailh switches founjd in their 2014 range), the G710+ even comes with o-rings which more or less eliminate the sound of the keys bottoming out.

It would have to be a Stealth, since the regular editions of the blackwidow have clicky switches

Headphones/Headsets I agree, I have a Razer headset and hate it

CM Storm Quickfires look good, I'd be tempted to get that Tenkeyless hybrid one (The name of which eludes me completely)
