No signal (Ryzen 5900x)

Hello community,

Im building a PC:

ASUS ROG STRIX B450 F

AMD Ryzen 9 5900x

G.Skill TridentZ RGB(F4-3600C18D-32GTZR)

Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVME

MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Corsair RM1000x

The build was flawless without any Problems,

but when I try to boot there is no signal and the Yellow lamp on the Mainboard is on is that normal?

Can someone try and help me find the Problem?

The B450 probably needs a BIOS update to support Zen 3. As far as I could find, the board does support BIOS flashback, so you should be able to update the BIOS without a supported CPU. You need a FAT32 formatted USB stick with the current BIOS on it, then press the Flashback button after powering on.

This is for the B450-F Gaming II, but should hopefully apply to yours as well:

In that case you have to use an older, supported, CPU to update the BIOS before you can use the new CPU. Take a look at this page from AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

You may be able to get a "Short Term Processor Loan Boot Kit" from AMD. They basically loan you a CPU which you can use to update the BIOS, before using your own CPU.
