Hi,

I have a very high technical level question (@Anthony, help?).

I am currently using a Threadripper 3970X based workstation, which needs to work with NI PXI system using a remote controller.

In short: the PXI is acting as PCI bus extension, so that the PXI expansion cards can communicate with the PC really fast.

The problem: the PC does not boot with PXI connected, not even BIOS.

has anyone encountered this before?

has anyone some idea what exactly can be the root cause?

I have seen a warning from the PXI driver installation, that multiple PCI bus roots are present in the system, could someone elaborate on what this exactly means?

I am a robotics engineer, but low level PCI bus shenanigans are a bit out of my area of expertise.

please help
