FX 8320 vs FX 8350

So I'm planning to upgrade my cpu later this month and I was wondering what the difference between these two CPUs really are.
I know that one of them has a higher clock rate but thats about it. I'm planning to get a Swiftech H220 or maybe a H320 to OC .
Will the FX 8350 oc more than the 8320 or will the be the same?

Thanks

I was in the same predicament and went with the 8350, pretty happy with my choice tbh :) (mine doesnt have an overclock and it still performs great!)

it will depend on your motherboard more than the cooler with amd. if most 8320 will do 4.6ghz and most 8350 do 4.8ghz on the same voltage, for gaming its not worth it at all. for benching. its definatly worth it.

My 8350 got 4.8ghz.

Most 8320's get 4.5-4.6GHZ.

I got my 8350 on sale, which is the only reason I got it over a 8320.

In short, the 8320 is a lower-binned, lower-clocked chip as compared to the 8350. This is the same for their higher tiers of chips as well, for example their 9590, it is at stock running at 4.7GHz, making it no problem at all to hit 5 GHz. Is it worth the extra money? Depends on what you are trying to do.

For gaming, just stick around with the 8320. It will give you almost the same performance anyways, and isn't worth the extra cost. If you are going to be doing some benching, then maybe the extra few GHz will matter to you. (E.G. Passmark, 3DMark, Unigen Valley) If you are going to be benching this though, presumably you'd want a higher binned chip anyways so you'd probably be looking into the 9370 or higher.

So you're saying that if I'm only going to be gaming, a fx 8320 is more than enough?
