Laptop: I don't really mind the loud noice of most laptops, but considering everything you said, I think it would be better to just get a desktop

Prebuilts: what do you think is the best choice between these prebuilts that I've chosen? then I'll do some more research, and maybe wait for black friday here xD

waiting for black friday is a good idea 🙂 i'd recommend the 2nd one, but at some point down the road get a ssd with more storage too. i'm basing my answers completely off the spec list since my google translate stopped working for some reason, so take it with a pinch of salt. good luck!

Budget (including currency): 1500€ - 1800€ [Laptop] ; 1600€ - 2000€ [Pre-built PC]

Country: France

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA Games, Modded Minecraft (Over 200mods), ¨Programming/Coding

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I've also considered building my own pc, but building your own pc here is way more expensive than buying a pre-built.

Here are some laptops that I've considered buying :

HP OMEN 15-en1003sf PC Portable Gaming 15,6" FHD IPS 144Hz (AMD Ryzen 5, RAM 8 Go, SSD 512 Go, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060)

Dell Alienware m15 R6 15.6 Inches FHD Display Intel Core i7 11800H 16 GB DDR4 1 TB SSD NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 8GB GDDR6

Dell Inspiron G15 5510 Portable Gamer Intel Core i7-10870H 15,6" Full HD 120Hz Grey 16Go RAM SSD 512 Go NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6Go

ASUS TUF FX516PR-HN033T PC Portable Gaming 15-15.9 FHD (Intel i7-11370H, RAM 16GB, 512GB MVMe M.2 PCIe SSD, RTX 3070 - 8GB GDDR6, Windows 10)

Here are some Pre-built that I've considered:

Memory PC Gamer Intel i7-9700K 8 x 3,6 GHz, 16 Go DDR4 RAM, 240 Go SSD + 2000 Go HDD, 8 Go RTX 3060 Ti

Memory PC Intel Core i7-10700 8X 4.8 GHz, 16 Go DDR4 RAM, 240 Go SSD+2000 Go HDD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12Go

Memory PC Intel Core i7-10700 8X 4.8 GHz, 32 Go DDR4 RAM, 480 Go SSD+2000 Go HDD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6Go 4K

which is better? or if you know something better that I can find in Amazon.fr, please do tell! Thank you in advance! 😄

imo, it depends. the pro of having a laptop is that it's portable, so if you find yourself taking your pc with you for class or outings then go ahead. on the other hand, when you play games you'll 100% hear the fans inside the laptop go loud, and more often than not you'll hear it outside of playing games. the battery life is also important to consider too.

the pre-builts that you've listed are more than adequate to play most games. it'll be easier to diagnose and repair hardware problems, and i'm almost certain that the pre-builts that you've chosen will be better in performance than the laptops, but again you have to take everything into perspective. for a pre-built, you have to get a monitor, speakers, and keyboard to use the pc. if your motherboard doesn't have built in wifi, then you may have to get a wifi card or ethernet cable to get the pc online.

ultimately it's up to you. just make sure to do your research, since this is a pretty big purchase.

best of luck!

I have the ASUS TUF with the i7 11370 and the 3070 and I was surprised at how well it performs for a laptop. I get well over 100FPS on ultra high 1080p on the games that I play. I bought a laptop cooling pad and temps are perfect and I never encounter any throttling whatsoever. For a gaming laptop the ASUS TUF is a great choice IMO. The youtube reviews say to avoid this laptop at all costs because the 11370 only has 4 cores but I never utilize 100% of my cpu and for what I use it for it works great.

Sounds interesting, I'll do more research on it, thank you! 😄
