Curious problem - Officially non-existent BIOS version on my motherboard?!

Rukjor

Hello all,

I need help from experts again. First of all, English is not my native language, so please excuse my grammar. Thank you.

I use the following mainboard:
"P8H67-M PRO/V-P8H67E/DP_MB"
from Asus

I swapped the Pentium for an i7 3770 and could not boot because I forgot to update the bios.

So I downloaded BIOS 3904 from ASUS. But now I get the message "Image Integrity Check failed".
I have tried several versions, everywhere the same problem.

Then I noticed that my motherboard has version "1301" installed. But this is not listed at ASUS (?!?).

Then I noticed that there seem to be different versions of the P8H67-M PRO.
One with 6 SATA ports + 1x IDE and one version with 5x SATA and no IDE (which I have).
But I can't find a BIOS for it.

See Pictures attached. I have "Version 2".

Do you have any idea??? Thank you very much!

Andy

It has a socketed bios chip so you can use a cheap bios programmer like ch341a to flash the bios

Btw those boards should have a bclk setting so you can set to ~105 to give a lil boost to performance

Thank you! I will try this.

If the Board does not boot, I can just put back in the "old" Bios Chip, right?

No just reflash with said bios programmer to your old bios
