H81 are entry level boards. not much features and not made for overclocking.

You can also just pick up locked haswell refresh processor and haswell refresh h81 mobo. Its much cheaper, and for gaming it really doesnt matter. Get better gpu rather.

For ultimate cpu bang / buck take a look at 4570 or haswell refresh variant, and 1230v3 ( hyperthreaded 4 core) or haswell refresh variant. HAswell refresh i think will have 100mhz faster clock and better thermals. So you can even use stock cooler and spare even more money for gpu.

And new games will have lower overhead anyway, so overclocking is really only if you have top of the line PC like dual 780 or something.

What gpu you have / will have?

That would be during the BIOS controversy, in which motherboard manufactures had found an internal bug which allowed the OC of K series chips on non Z-Prefixed boards for Haswell. This has been solved from what I remember.
