The 3060 is about the same performance as the 2060 Super for reference, give or take. The 3060Ti is probably one of the best value GPUs made on the Nvidia side, and that performs about as well as the 2080 Super and the 1080 Ti.

i currently have a i5 9th gen cpu 32 gigs ram and a gtx1060ti i was thinking of upgrading it, I play games like genshin impact or some simulators (not many fps games). Which part should i upgrade?

the only thing worth upgrading would probably be the GPU, but good luck getting one that's worth upgrading to (3060Ti, for example) for a good price.

i was thinking about gpu only but a 3060 might be too overkill but how about a 2080ti?

I might be wrong but i think a 2080 ti would be more overkill¿

That's not how GPUs work. The 2080Ti outperforms the 3060 by a lot.

Depends on what PSU you have. Also do note there is a pretty big difference in performance between the 3060 and 3060 Ti,  so be careful when picking which one to get

Just wrong subforum. PC Gaming is strictly for games. Hardware have their own subforums, with New Builds being place for any upgrade questions with more than one component in play.
