HDD mounting solutions

I am looking to find a solution to mount a couple of HDD to either pci express slot covers or fan mounts since that is all my MasterBox Q500L has available as all the other slots in the rear are full, does anyone know of anything that might meet that criteria?

Search "pcie hdd mount" and you'll find some. There are a few 2.5 inch ones, and a 3.5 I saw that sticks beyond the expansion slot and may or may not fit in your case.

 

The other option would be just using mounting tape to stick the drive somewhere. 3M Scotch 4010 works great, and there are plenty of other options as well. If you get good mounting tape I'd be surprised if it weren't more secure than a plastic expansion slot mount.

For a hard drive…. I wouldn’t hang it weirdly like that. Ssd sure, they don’t care. But a hard drive should be rigidly mounted. Can always drill holes in the bottom of the case, use a few washers to space it off the bottom, and mount it there.

Do you move your pc a lot? if not, just place it somewhere, doesn't matter, example at the top of PSU.
