Second SSD not recognized after upgrade

Simmons0613

I recently upgraded my CPU from an i5 to i7. So I also upgraded my MB to a asrock b365 pro4. My booting 1tb WD M.2 works fine in socket M2_1 but my second 1tb WD m.2 in socket M2_2 isn't showing up at all. I thought it might have died somehow in the transfer but it shows up on my brother's computer. Any ideas?

Nvm, I thought I had nvme drives but I don't.

did you checked in the drive manager?

does it shows up as unalocated?

can you see it in device manager?

if it shows up in drive manager as unalocted then you need to parttion it

if not than check if it even shows up in device manager

if not there to go and download the drives for it

Pls Mark a solution as a solution, would be really helpful.

BTW pls correct me, iam really stoobid at times.

I checked all that, I didn't show up at all. But like I said it was a socket that only supported nvme and my ssd wasn't. I order a comparable one and sold the old to someone who could use it.

i think so you are using a sata m.2 ssd for nvme m.2 slot

it will never show up if you did like that

buy a nvme ssd
