Which is better?

Would you rather have:

 

3200MHz C22 Memory

or

3000MHz C16 Memory

 

One is faster, but slower access times -- the other is slower, but faster access -- I don't know which is more preferable.

I was not aware you could even get such high latency memory.....?

The 3000 CL 16 kit is much better.

Do you not have any other options?

I this a question of limited options and price? 3200 CL16 would be better than both.

I'm building a high-end workstation through Puget Systems.  On their website builder it just lists the memory as "8 x DDR4-3200 32GB". When I dig further on the "Tech Specs" of the memory, it shows the latency as "CL22" -- which I know is slow.  I'm going to ask them if I can sub-out for better ram, but wanted to PING this community first.

That's fair, I would go for 3000 CL 16, it will be faster.

Hm, Puget knows their stuff, I would ask them about it, they probably have a very good reason for offering what they're offering depending on the platform you're building.
