Hello,

I was hoping anyone could help me. I just built my first PC ever but I am having some problems, my thoughts are it is in my GPU, but not sure. I've used system diagnosis tools without any luck.

Some of my problems

First of all, it seems weird but the icons in my taskbar start flickering for some reason

All of us sudden the pc crashes for no reason

When I'm playing warzone (So far it's the only game I've been able to play) it works perfectly for some time and suddenly either the game or the pc crashes.

Sometimes after my monitor goes to sleep it wont turn on. I have to power cycle either the monitor or the PC

I tried reinstalling GeForcce drivers from scratch but that didn't solve any of my problems.

This is what I'm rocking:

ROG Strix x570e for the MB

AMD 5950x

64 GB G.Skill Trident Z Royal @ 3600 mhz

MSI RTX 3080 Ti Gaming X trio

Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 1200W

1 TB Samsung 980 Pro m.2

2 TB crucial SSD

Samsung Odyssey G9 for my monitor running at 240 Hz with HDR on

Perhaps I need to tune additional settings?

I haven't OC anything. Before proceeding to make a new fresh installation of Windows I was wondering if anyone has had this problems before or any hints on what else I should do.

Thanks i advance!

It does sound like the point where you should probably do a clean Windows install. Maybe run memtest86 to see if the RAM is bad, but this sounds like some sort of software problem, and these take more effort to solve than just wiping the drive, reinstalling Windows, and loading all your programs back on.

If you dont care about power saving, just
- Start Menue ---<> Start typing: "Edit power plan" and just set it to always on.
Solves it for now, and you can dig into the details later.

But im of the opinion that you have an S3 power state bug.
I had it once, but i dont remember how i fixed it.

Make sure you have your chipset drivers installed "https://www.amd.com/en/support"
Click the "autodetect..."(blah, blah) link.

Thank you very much for your response I ran some memory tests and everything was alright, reinstalled windows but the problem persisted. Apparently I had to update my monitor software and install it's drivers which I hadn't. It all seems to be ok now. Thanks again for getting back , I really appreciate it.
