Laptop Help!

So my friend has a laptop, he doesn't know the model but its a think pad. When be turns it on the screen is black, he enters his password and he can hear skype loading but there is still a black screen. I thought the GPU may have come undone from the monitor or the mobo but i don't know if the 730 is integrated or not. PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like one of the display cables/wires is torn/snapped or something.

Did you try attaching an external monitor? This happened to my friends old random laptop and he just had to add a monitor and it worked

Try connecting an external monitor to see if the GPU still works.

Do that from now on, thats what he's done, and you dont want to void the warrenty by getting inside it now do you? unless its already void lol
