Phasmophobia behaves... odd

I have a 5600X/3060 custom build that is absolutely capable of running Phas at 1080p high settings - Afterburner caps out at 240 FPS at all times. However, I noticed that when I record with OBS at 120 FPS, the videos stutter pretty hard in some spots, despite the actual experience being 100% smooth. I dropped OBS to 60 FPS and somehow that made it smoother??... I can record other games at 120 with no issues, so could it possibly just be encoding hiccups from the game?

I guess that’s what it is, it probably doesn’t get the required resources for recording and encoding at full 120 FPS. Maybe you should just resort to recording at 60 instead.
