Trying to oc my gts 250 core but stupid thing wont go past 756 at 1.2v, i already put in a parameter in the VEN_10DE&DEV folder which is VDDC_Generic_Detection=1 and it can monitor volts now but i cant adjust the volts so looking at the folder i saw a CoreVoltage parameter and im wondering what value should i set it

Cause on the core and memclk theres 3 extra zeros on the parameter so im assuming its setting it in khz, so will setting the CoreVoltage parameter to 1200 = 1200mv aka 1.2v? Cause i dont wanna kill my gpu xD

Spoiler

Im aiming for ~1.3v or whatever the max volt i can do without the gpu exceeding 90c

Atm the gpu runs 72c max on furmark without f ing around with volts and i havent turned on the ac yet

gts 250............ Get a new gpu.... Like that thing is ancient. If you do a bit of hunting you can probably get something like a gtx 750, 750ti etc if you know where to look and with a bit of patience. heck even a decent 600 series would be an improvement over that

Literally the only thing i have and im not willing to replace it, i might sell it tho

Also gtx 750 is always overpriced so its hot garbage

Probably this will work? You have to try. Not that I recommend so when you're not willing to replace it. It might withstand this when new, not when it's old like this.

Plus this isnt the place for advice on overclocking something so old to the point where you're doing mods, maybe somewhere like hwbot forums? niche knowledge nowadays.

Well i do have a warp9 forums acc so maybe i could ask there

Eh i think ill just oc it as much as possible then sell it, if i already had some pots + multimeter then maybe id have a go at voltmodding but i have none of those, and i also dont know how to tell what resistance i should use when voltmod my specific component

Prob more worth it voltmodding my g31m s2c and obliterating g31 hwbot record xD
