ROG Strix 570 e gaming

AMD Ryzen 9 3900x

Nvidia rtx 2060

16 gb g skill ram running at 2133 (I always meant to go back and turn on XMP but never did)

Samsung 970 500gb ssd

I think I am going crazy trying to troubleshoot this issue. Sometimes when I turn on my PC I get the rog logo and the spinning wheel then screen goes black as if about to show login but then it just stays black and all my connected devices go black. When I hold the power button and then turn it back on the thing will either boot correctly or go black and not boot. I can always go to safe mode on my third cycle. The problem is I’ve done a clean reinstall, updated bios, rolled back drivers and updated them but nothing works. Sometimes the pc just don’t want to turn on. If you can help I would be so happy.

Does your machine pass the compatibility test thing?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Yes it does. I have TPM 2.0 enabled in bios

I saw a reference that the compatibility checker was a community effort so it could have flaws in it.  I don’t know though.  Win11 is still really new and I’ve seen various complaints about it. I don’t have a machine with a prayer of running it so I haven’t so much as looked at it.  I’m going to have to move to Linux on my stuff.  And/or get a new machine.

I don’t know if this is merely a settings thing or something having to do with some driver or whatnot.  You may be in a situation where there is a weird little bit that someone is going to have to patch a driver over.  There is always teething with new stuff like this.  There have been a lot of jokes about how early adopters are going to have to serve as Guinea pigs running into stuff like that.
