HOW TO TEST GPU IF TOAST

nastou

So the other day i was chilling on my pc workstation! SuddendLY pc stopped working! I tried to turn it back on i removed everything tried to see if power supply had any issues!  i Changed power supply for starters and when i put everything back on again no power went through! So MOBO i toast i guess and one technician told me! But how is it possible for me to check if my GPU (MSI R9 390 8G) is not toast from that problem for at least i spare buying a new one! (i Connected it to power supply but fans are not spinning! ) Does it have to be mounted on the mobo? Should i test it on another pc to see if it works for sure? Every answer would be of help and sorry for my english !

Yeah you will need to test it in another PC.

What are the specs of the PC in question?

Yeah, that would be a good idea. I don't know how you hooked it up to power, I'd think that could potentially damage it, powering it up without it being mounted in the motherboard.

There's not. Unfortunately you'll need another computer or board

Unless you had test equipment and schematics (which are not going to be available to the general public) all you can do is try it in another PC to test it
