Thinkfan just stopped working (PopOS)

I dual boot windows and PopOS on my laptop. Today when i booted into Pop i found that my thinkfan service wasn't running, whatever, i started it manually. but now it's just refusing to start at all. I have made no changes since last time i was logged into Linux, so no files should have changed from last time i knew it was working.

 

this is what i get from systemctl status whenever i try to start it

 

 

here's the .service file

Again, i have changed nothing at all since the last time i was logged in, it's jsut decided to randomly stop working for no reasons that i can see

 

I've also tried reinstalling thinkfan but nothing changed, systemctl provides the same error

Op, have you purged the program and reinstalled it?

What does the log say? Is it similar to this: https://github.com/vmatare/thinkfan/issues/150
