hi i am building  a new machine  well  finishing touches  so far  its
fractal design  7xl  with 6 corsair  icue 140 dual ring fans  and white cabling everywhere  inc from th ax1600i
and a whole bunch of other rgb  inc my 1st attempt  at  the rgb amd   logo
msi tomahawk x570 wifi
5950x  with dark rock pro  4  cooler  (not a fan of water loops  bad experience in the early days with leaks )
xfx rx6900 xt "mech"
2x  980 evo 2tb  + a 6tb sata  and a blue ray  wr  (old school  i still  have optical  media )
and 2x 3200 16gb ddr4 Samsung  i have to hand
however  i am  torn  on ram  i was sold on trident z  128gb  4000   but i am reading   4000 may cause instability  (is this true  i presumed the cpu/gpu using the amd  smart  memory  would just clock down  ? )
so  i am  pretty  much stuck  with  corsair's new  vengeance low profile  (only have about 10mm  clearance from  a naked  green stick  to the cooler overhang)  but its only 3200 in the 128  4x 32 flavour

yes i know 128gb is prob overkill  but  i always  max out a machine when i replace every 5 years or so

so the question is
will the gskill  4000 cause issues   or will it just clock down tto what the system can use  ?
will their be that much of a difference in  3200  vrs  4000  in an  all amd  system  ?

appreciate any  input before i click the check out button  on the options is have  in the basket

The board is listed as having support for 4000mhz memory, in fact it can go even higher than that so I wouldn't see there being an issue with that RAM speed. As far as the capacity goes, to each their own. If you think you may benefit from having that amount of RAM, go for it, but to be honest that is serious overkill unless your use cases for the PC really will benefit. Either way, it's your money. AMD does indeed benefit from faster RAM though, just ensure that the infinity fabric clock (FCLK) matches the speed you run at the RAM at, in your case it should be set to 2000mhz to match.
