So I tried searching for a HD7870 to CF with my current one...but they are almost nowhere to be found.

Then I found out I can CF a R9 270 with it too.

Anyways.

I can either do that or get a R9 280, the thing is, a R9 280 would take time because the vendor needs to restock, would take a week and I am impatient by nature (really impatient...) the R9 270 +PSU I can buy and get tomorrow.

Both equal out to the same price btw roughly so that's not the issue.

What would you do?

And I don't mind eventual CF problems with drivers/game etc btw.

Nope, can't trade it in.

I can sell it however to a friend, so that's taken care of.

ah ok but still you might run into trouble with heat or drivers or it just not working

EBAY has been filled with 280s, people trying to get money back after the whole bit mining nonsense and now that its dropping are trying to see what they can get, saw one on there for like 250 bucks

Nah, I don't work with Ebay, because of where I live and Paypal being a pain the ass with making an account.

Fair enough, and while Ebay is pretty protective, its still a pain in the ass if someone tries to scam on there

Do you have the normal 7870, or a 7870XT?

Because if I'm not mistaken you can't crossfire a 280 (rebadged 7950) with a normal 7870 (because of different architecture, Pitcairn for 7870 and Tahiti for 280).
