Low voltages under heavy load

MyLittleFella

Hello gentlemen, I've been running some benchmark on my PC w/ Furmark (GPU) and AIDA64 FPU test (CPU).

In general the temps are ok and no BSOD. On the other hand, something took my att while checking the voltages on HWMonitor:

The min voltages got some low values and I think it could be dangerous. Last few weeks I've been experiencing some screen stuttering while gaming and I wonder if this could be related.

Is this behaviour normal?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X @ 5.6GHz (single core boost) | 5.4GHz (all cores); Mobo: Asus ROG Crosshair Hero X670E; RAM: Team Group T-Force 2x16GB (32GB) DDR5 @ 6000MHz CL38; GPU: RTX 4080 - ZOTAC GAMING AMP Extreme AIRO; Case: NZXT H7 Flow; Storage: Kingston KC3000 1TB + Adata Legend 900 2TB; Cooling: Cooler Master PL360; PSU: Corsair HX 1200

Two things here:

1.  HWMonitor cannot monitor a PSU's actual voltages unless there is a data interface with the PSU (ex:  Corsair HXi series).  These readings are taken from the motherboard and, to be honest, they're well within spec.

2.  Power supply does not cause frame stutters.

Well ... while usually PSU is not the cause of stutters, like in 99.9% cases, still, if you have a particularly shitty\half-dead PSU i reckon it's definitely possible if ripple is sky-high.

@MyLittleFellaWhat's the PSU ? How old it is ? How long ago you've reseated it's cables ? PSU contact terminals get oxidized over time, especially if you live in particularly humid climate, that increases resistance, high temperatures increase it too, and the higher resistance is the lower voltages get.

Tag or quote me so i see your reply

Yeah I live in a coast/beach city and it is humid. Last time I re-seated PSU cables I think it was before the pandemic.

But if not the PSU, what the hell is causing my stutters then? Damn, I give up
