My power supply is not working

Treetop64

Earlier today my power supply would not boot up my computer and when I unpuged it and tried to power on again I heard a sound from my power supply and then there was no power to my computer and now my psu smells like burnt skiddles. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you!

If you want to fix dirty power, a high quality surge protector could help, or if you've got money to burn, a UPS. I've got one from Cyberpower that meets my needs.

Also depending on how your house is set up, turning off other devices could improve your situation.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Sounds like the PSU died. You probably need to get a new one and hope it didn't take anything with it.

What power supply model was it?

It does not boot up or it does not power on?

POST, boot and power on are three different things.

They have a pretty good warranty solution so you can probably RMA it and get a new one. Just hope it didn't take anything with it.
