Metallic Ice V2.0

Evgesha9400

Here is the second iteration of my rig.

The first one was called metallic ice and I uploaded it around two years ago, unfortunately at that time linus tech tips was on Vbulletin that absolutely refused to upload my pics. After a year i decided to upgrade to the NZXT's H440 and H100i plus a fan swap. I was planning to do a full watercooling loop but unfortunately EVGA is being really annoying with their exclusive, non-existent, unattainable waterblocks.

I disassembled the graphics card to change the thermal paste/pads and to clean out the dust that accumulated over the year.

Specification:

  • NZXT H440 White and Black
  • Asus Sabertooth Z77
  • Intel Core I7 3770k
  • 2 x EVGA GTX 680 Classified 4gb

  • 3TB Seagate 7200rpm (main storage)
  • Corsair Force 3 120Gb SSD (boot drive)
  • Asus Xonar Essence STX
  • Corsair H100i

Looks really nice but why did you take the GPU fans off?

I used a dremel to cut out the window, vinyl wrapped it and then glued the u-channel in. It was actually pretty easy, just make sure to mask the side panel, because if the dremel slips it will ruin the side panel.

Clean and beautiful, I wonder how would it look with the MB armor painted white.

Thank you. I was considering to paint the motherboard, but it is just too much effort.
