i have a problem with intalling my new amd a10-7850k. im coming from a a6-6400k .after i install the a10-7850 i have random freezing while playing games or right after start up. only had this rig for 1 month and it runs fine with the a6. i replace the a10-7850 from a open box model from mircocenter to a brand new one and have the same problem.

Did you change motherboards? Usually a processor change is no biggie and wont require a format. However there is the odd time. Also if you changed motherboards i would suggest formatting.

Temps? How hot is it getting? Could have a bad seat of the cooler.

Doesn't look to be the problem...

Check if the APU graphics drivers are installed; you don't need them if you are using that GPU

Clear CMOS if you didn't when you installed the new CPU

Also how hot does it get at full load? Does it happen with other intensive processes (try stress tests)?

yeah i think the graphic drivers are installed. uninstalling now  and didnt clear cmos

yeah i kno lol needed a system so when with cheaper but im planning to go intel later .so ill switch out the mobo etc

What temperature is it at when it freezes? Is it when it's up to the 90, or at the 70?

Install only the GTX 780 drivers, APU graphics aren't needed.

And as I said before, a new cpu cooler would be better, I don't know at what temp it throttles

EDIT: Can throttle at 72.4 ºC...

so i cleared the cmos and deleted the drivers and it seen to be working fine until when i turned it on 5 sec ago it froze .lucky i just ran cpu-z http://valid.canardpc.com/xxuc8g it was at 54.3 c when it froze . im thinking ram maybe?

Maybe, run MemTest86, and let it run through for a while.
