Hello! I currently have some type of Patriot RAM clocked at 3000 mHz (one 8gb stick), but I’m not sure if they still sell the same part (I attached a picture with the stick of RAM i currently use). I’m interested in buying a 16gb kit, but I want to play with the possibility of having 24gb in total. However, as I said, I’m not sure if the same pieces are being sold. Should I buy a kit of 16gb Patriot RAM clocked at 3000mHz (but different part number), or is it possible for me to buy a kit of Corsair Vengeance LPX clocked at 3200mHz? Lastly, I’m not even sure if my rig can use that extra speed; my rig is a Ryzen 3 3100 on an A520M DS3H AC. Any help will greatly be appreciated!

24GB is going to end up hurting your performance.
If you need the capacity go for 32GB

Otherwise stick with 16GB kit that you have already.

If you want to upgrade your ram, youre going to see the most performance out of a 2x8GB 3600 CL16 kit.
Your CPU most likely can handle it, but your motherboard chipset not so much.

I do not recommend pairing another set of different memory with the set that you already have, it can cause issues down the line and is not a good idea.

If you can't find another 8GB stick, get a 16GB kit and sell the 8GB (or repurpose).  Go to 32GB with another kit, don't do 24GB.

Do not buy Corsair Vengence LPX, they are known for not reaching the rated speeds that they are sold for.
Forgot to mention that in my original post.

Thank you for letting me know. What about Crucial Ballistix, or is there a certain brand you recommend?

Generally I don't ever recommend buying for brand, but Crucial Ballistics 3600 CL 16 is highly recommended!
