I had though that parsec would allow me to remotely access my pc but apparently that's not the case so now I need an alternative (if there is a way to do it with parsec and I'm just dumb please let me know). I want something that will function like Shadow Play but instead of going to a random server on the other side of the country I want to remote directly into my desktop. I don't really want to run dual operating systems to do this but I could if need be. In a perfect world there's a free program for this but if not I don't mind too much.

I don't think I explained anything very well so I can clarify if need be.

Parsec most certainly works over the internet. I use it for work all the time, even from halfway across the US. What tasks are you looking to do with the remote connection?

Mostly play games tbh but for school it would be nice to access folders (but not nessicary) also I occasionally do 3d work and it would be nice to make use of its rendering power.

Did you enable hosting in the settings of the host system? Here's what it should look like when hosting is enabled. You'll see the name of your PC on your system.

Yeah, I didn't install parsect on the connecting pc and just did it through a browser that may have been why. Or was I just supposed to do something else on the connecting pc?

Just use the proper Parsec client. You only need to enable hosting on the host machine. Just log into your Parsec account on both machines, and you should be able to connect from the client as long as Parsec is running on the host. It works pretty darn well; as I said I use it for work, and I have connections running for several hours at a time.
