PC random restarts

Hi,
I have custom built PC that has been running fine for several years now. Recently, about a month ago it has started to reset itself. Basically the behavior is like someone hits a reset switch.

The machine is Aorus Pro X570, Ryzen 3950X, RTX3090, 64 DDR4 (no XMP, but all stock values). Corsair 850i  power supply with the Corsair Link software. I am using AIO and verified no overheating.

I really need a working machine soon because my work depends on it and I can't deal with the random reset. I have so far tried the following:

  1. Disabled any automatic overclock, XMP off.
  2. Reinstall Windows.
  3. Reseat memory, GPU, power cables
  4. Reset BIOS, and also downgrade BIOS to one year ago version F20 which I know is good and has not had this issue.
  5. Changed "Power Supply Idle control" in Bios to "Typical" from "Auto".
  6. Tested Memory and there are no memory errors.

One thing I haven't tried is to take everything out from the box (Lian Li O11 dynamic) and see if that would have an effect.

But realistically I think next step is to start to swap parts.

What would be first to swap? Mobo or PSU?

I would really appreciate your advice as I need to get the machine stable again.

A thorough cleaning of your coolers would be a good start.

See if you can get a cheap (new!) fanless GTX710. It's clearly not up to the tasks the 3090 can, but it also means you can exclude that card as the culprit, as well as the PSU not delivering sufficient power.

Re-paste the CPU and while at it, check your case for any stray metal parts.

Take out the mainboard, is it banana-shaped? If so, time to swap it. Make sure all screws are in the motherboard stand-offs before tightening them to fix the mainboard.

Does it restart under load, or just at random?

Yes actually I replaced the coolers recently so dust is no problem.
I have extra GPUs around so I think I will try with 2080 Super which I know is in good shape.
For the CPU, would I be better swapping that too? I have 2700X on the shelf.

Totally random, super heavy load or idle.

Did you clean the PSU too? If not, give it a try.

In order to establish the root cause of the problem, swap one thing at a time and if it makes no difference, swap it back.

The PSU is just few months old, but I already did blow some canned air in it.

Are there any errors/critical in Event viewer?

Yes seeing Kernel-Power Event ID 41
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
