Nvidia Surround SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

I solved the issue on my own, I tried downgrading the Nvidia driver to 331 and it works perfectly. Thanks for the help though!

So I finally got my third 1080p monitor today, and I thought I would start up Nvidia surround and test out some games and see if they ran. The problem is, whenever I try to activate surround, the following things happen:

  • Nvidia Control Panel Freezes up
  • You hit "Apply" to enable surround but then just turns off the other two monitors and unchecks the surround option
  • After Multiple tries, The computer bluescreens and I get a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

I've made sure all my monitors are running at 1080p @ 60Hz. Using the two DVI Connectors and the HDMI connector on my GTX 650, and I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit. Any help guys? Thanks.

Note: One time after the bluescreen Surround DID enable on startup, but it was in a weird resolution of 3480x1024 or something like that. Not sure what to do.

I might need a bit more info about the monitors

brand and model

were you able to get 2 monitors running in dual display mode before the 3rd monitor came in?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

All 3 of the monitors are different. I have:

Dell E2414H

Dell U2312HM - One I got today

Dell ST2320L

All 3 of the monitors work fine with surround disabled. I was even able to get surround working with a 1050p monitor, though the resolutions were messed up because they weren't all 1080p. (The reason I got this new monitor)
