Cold war running below 50 FPS

G'day i play cold war regularly and im running anywhere between 60 and 18 fps and it jumps a lot, this is on the lowest settings, i have an RTX 2060 paired with a ryzen 5 2400g, im just wondering if my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU and not allowing the frames ti stay constant or go as high as my GPU can go. Or is Cold war a CPU intensive game as well?

Thanks

You are bottlenecking the GPU, can you run Cold War with MSI Afterburner running in the background and tell me what the CPU and GPU utilizations are?

I am very curious to see what those number provide! And Yes Cold War is intensive on both GPU and CPU and if I am not mistaken your CPU is not in the lowest specs.

Chances are you are using 100% of the CPU and barely any of the GPU! The CPU cannot keep up with the 2060

Yeah it looks like even just loading up the game and on the main screen that my cpu usage on all 8 cores is 100% and unchanging where as my GPU usage jumps from 2% to 40%

and thats just on the main menu

Any reccomendations such as overclocking CPU o anything i can handle the temp as i have an AIO cooler

Ok I don’t think ram is the problem. Do you have any experience overclocking? If your not scared of getting in the bios you can get that chip to 3.9-4.0 ghz without much trouble which will help with frame drops. You might also be able to tighten your memory sub timings a little

Whatever he does with that 2400G it won't be enough for smooth play. Just get used 3600/3600x and you'll be ok for now. Even better if you can go 5600X, but that depends on your local market. Here the new CPUs haven't been a problem at all, however GPUs are still like unicorns and white swallow - everyone has heard of them, but no one has seen them. Also keep in mind that Warzone is extremely inconsistent game. People with top 1% rigs complain about lags, freezes and low fps.

Sorry for the late response, you can try overclocking the CPU and just keep tabs on temperatures. Unless you know what you are doing I would refrain from OC
