hey guys I’m looking to make this build as cheaply as possible while also future proofing main components as much as possible eg cpu, gpu, psu & case that’s why I haven’t went budget there as over time I will look to upgrade and improve with better ram, storage, AIO. Any recommendations or advice on cutting cost or better choice of components.

Currently game on series x but want to join the master race so initial goal is to future proof as I get into it and will run on a Frankenstein monitor set up lol up 3 monitors 1080@60hz, 1080@144hz & 4k@60 but game in 1080@144hz but may push up the setting sometimes to game 4k@60hz

thanks

Better cpu cooler, cheaper storage, and different case. This all allows for more ram and storage too.

You say cheaper storage but the storage options added are £20 more expensive for 250 GB extra so would actually be worth it? And any negatives of the change of motherboard? And the ram would having the 32gb ram at lower speed be better than 16gb ram at higher speed?

-You don’t need that motherboard or cooler

-You don’t need that 980, waste of 50 dollars.

-PSU was overpriced

with all savings added a 3070

I meant just more. My bad.

For the RAM, 3200MHz is more than enough for 2021 still, yes. 32GB would be more future proof than just 16GB of fast RAM. More games are recommending builds with at least 12-16GB of RAM... so for future proofing 32GB is worth it. If you have the budget, you can go for 32GB of 3600MHz. However, I've looked at both, and 32GB 3200MHz RAM is very nicely priced.

This build also allows to buy better GPU, So it's good.
