Honestly for SSD i really love to just get an m.2 enclosure like this one and get a good m.2 pcie SSD. It makes it expandable, swappable, and actually cheaper compared to similar external SSD solution from the likes of Samsung T5 or WD My Passport SSD.

I have an ASUS G14 2021 with Manjaro KDE and I am a professional Linux NoOB and also pretty bad at General Computing.

Will this work with my MacBook Air? I read so many reviews that external ssd's are kinda problematic with the m1 machines

Yeah i believe its due to thunderbolt still being kinda horrid on M1, but sabrent says this is running on USB 3.1.
