I have a Biostar TB250-btc+ motherboard I acually just put a fresh install of windows on it. I started up Phoenix miner, it ran for maybee a minute then the screen froze and that was it. Nothing happens when i power it up. I unplugged everything and verified its proper home. ive tried it without the gpu's, ram, took out the battery and nothing nothing happens cant evin get to bios screen. I did take off the heat sink to the cpu and it smells well burnt not to bad but a lil hot so im assuming this is my problem. I wanted to ask if i should be able to get to my bios settings with a bad cpu or if the cooked cpu is the reason i cant. thank you in advance for any replys

1. Did you put to little thermal paste overkill is better than less

2. Did you check for the plastic under the cooler or could it possibly melted?

3. Did you try upgrading bios because that might be a corrupted bios flash.

I have an ASUS G14 2021 with Manjaro KDE and I am a professional Linux NoOB and also pretty bad at General Computing.

This is acually a second hand rig I did not build it. it had little thermal paste on it and the cooler rests on the cpu at best. I can't get into bios to update it it was working fine on win 10 untill the screen froze then no bios, no nothing, fan does not spin on the cooler.
