Ultrawide Recomendations

Claytonimore20

Hello Everyone,

I am looking at getting an ultrawide display for my home pc.

I primarily use the pc for gaming and school work.

Currently I have dual HP 25X monitors.

What would you recommend as a decent replacement for these?

Thank You

Id prefer something in the 3440x1440 to 3840x1600 range and above 100hz rate.

As for GPU and games I have a 3060ti and play a bit of everything. (Skyrim, Destiny, Cyberpunk, Doom)

I also use this pc for content viewing but nothing in HDR.

As for panel type I'm not really sure about which would be best.

What's your budget? Ultrawides can cost anywhere from $400 to $800, for HDR capable ones it can even go as high as $2500.

Also please remember to quote or @ people so we can se you replied.

For panel type it depends. Quick summary is IPS is better for gaming due to its fast response time, and VA for content viewing as it has greater contrast ratio (deeper blacks).

If you go with IPS, get LG 34GP83A-B. You should stick to 3440x1440 as higher resolution may be too demanding for 3060Ti.

@Stahlmann

I would like to keep it under $1000 if possible.

The best non-HDR ultrawides atm are the LG 34GN850-B and the LG 34GP83A-B. They're pretty much the same monitor, so just get the cheaper one of the two.

To "@" someone you have to type the name and then click on it so it looks like this: @Stahlmann
